Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre (BVSC) guarantees the following codes of practice: -

Only VSB registered specialists can operate services at BVSC.  This is a Specialist only hospital.

  1. BVSC specialists will ensure the referring veterinarian or veterinarians are always informed promptly about their referred patients.  Our contact will be by email, fax, letter or telephone call or any combination.

  2. BVSC has no merchandising.  Clients cannot purchase pet leads, toys, bowls or any other merchandise normally stocked and sold by general veterinary practices.

  3. BVSC only has pet food for hospitalized patients or as samples to go home.  Clients cannot purchase their pet food from BVSC.  They will be required to have their referring veterinary clinic supply specialized diets and so on.  In fact, we try to identify what particular pet food products are stocked in your practice so we can, if possible, recommend food you normally sell.

  4. BVSC will not sell routine preventative medicine products such as flea control medications or worming medications.

  5. Routine preventative medicine vaccinations will not be administered at BVSC.

  6. Routine dental prophylaxis procedures will not be performed at BVSC.
