In December 2009 we begun a new Surgical Intern Program.
Our Interns work on a rotational basis between Oncology Surgery and General Surgery (Including Orthopaedics, Neuro, Soft Tissue plus much more). Interns at BVSC are given the opportunity to advance their surgical skills whilst providing invaluable assistance to our Surgical Specialists.
Interns work at BVSC for a period of 1yr or more depending on the individual and are provided extensive training by two Board Certified Specialists, Dr Rod Straw and Dr Bruce Smith. Surgical Internships provide a great advantage to those wishing to persue Specialist qualifications in Small Animal Surgery.
