Allisha

BVSC + Veterinary Nurse

Growing up, Allisha always loved animals and owned many pets. She was obsessed with watching Dr Harry's Practice as a child. Her first experience in a veterinary clinic was at age fifteen doing school based work experience. Following this, she started volunteering and eventually gained employment at the age of seventeen.

Allisha completed her cert IV in 2013, in only three years. Originally from Mackay, she worked in a rural small animal and equine hospital. In 2014, Allisha moved to Brisbane and worked in a general practice veterinary clinic as a senior nurse before moving on to specialist nursing.

After spending the last year travelling around the world, visiting twenty-six countries through Asia, Africa and Central America, she is very excited to be back nursing again and to be working at BVSC where she looks forward to progressing her skills and  knowledge.

In 2020 she plans to start studying again with a long term goal to do veterinary science. In her downtime Allisha enjoys travel, fitness, cooking and adrenaline sports.
